Seasons of Hope tells a story that addresses issues the of domestic violence, substance abuse effects these issues have on our health, mental and emotional well-being. Domestic Violence is real. It kills. It has no respect of persons gender, race, religion or  socio-economic background. Many suffer in silence, fearing for their very lives. While it is apparent that more help and assistance is needed for victims, the fact remains that the abuser needs help as well.

Pa. Governor Tom Wolf is proposing a $1.5-million increase that would be used to provide lifesaving services to victims of domestic violence through PCADV’s  domestic violence.  The money will be used to stabilize critical services such as civil legal representation, medical advocacy and emergency shelter for victims and their children.
Seasons of Hope  has been re- published and launched nationally on June 9th. Now the real work begins.  I  both excited and nervous about where this journey is taking me.

I have book signings and speaking engagements scheduled August through November 2015.  I am not being paid for these events as this is not the mission of this tour.

The mission of the tour is to spread awareness about Domestic Violence and to raise money for programs to assist survivors with moving forward with their lives.

While the governor's proposed plan addresses important needs like legal and medical assistance, it does not address the need from r survivors to become self sufficient.

The HER (Healed Empowered and Restored) organization will use funds raised to facilitate Programs that include job readiness skills, resume preparation and interviewing skills.  We also encourage entrepreneurship and will assist with business plan writing to help dreams come to fruition.
I am asking for your assistance to order enough books and promotional items needed for a successful book tour.
